This week, the class met outside the School of Art Galleries for an Artist Conversation, which we had been doing for about three weeks now. However, we would also be holding a Classmate Conversation outside the Art Galleries, which was a surprise considering how long it had been since we had done one. Nevertheless, I held a conversation with Amilcar after getting the information necessary for the Artist Conversation.
Amilcar and I held a conversation mostly regarding school and our majors. I learned that Amilcar likes to go by AP because it is easier to remember and pronounce. I also learned that AP was born in Guatemala and that he lives in Long Beach; however, he decided to embrace the full college experience by staying at the dorms on campus. AP is in his second year at CSULB and is undeclared in his major. But because of his strong passion and desire to work in Hollywood and make movies, he is planning on studying Film and Animation. AP also informed me that he has an interest in photography and likes to take photos in his free time.
Although the conversation was a little rushed (which is also why we were unable to get a photo), I still got the impression that Amilcar is a very laid-back and ambitious individual. I sincerely hope that he is able to make it in Hollywood.
