For the last classmate conversation of the semester, I decided to hold a conversation with Sergio. Sergio is in his fourth year at CSULB and is majoring in Computer Engineering. Sergio was born and raised in Paramount and went to Paramount High School. Being so close to Long Beach, Sergio also decided to live at home and commute to school, which he says was a good decision because he not only is debt-free, but he has also been able to save up a good amount of money from working as a parking attendant in Downtown Lon Beach. After graduating from CSULB, Sergio does not plan on continuing on to a Master’s Degree program; instead, he told me that he would like to apply for and land his dream job as a web designer or technical mechanic for Rakion, which is a gaming company, right out of the gate. Additionally, Sergio stated that when he is not busy studying, he enjoys reading, cycling, traveling and going to the beach. He also enjoys hiking in Santa Monica and Palos Verdes. Sergio also informed me that he has three brothers and that he recently got out of a three-year relationship with his now ex-girlfriend. However, he does not seem broken up about the break-up; in fact, he says that he is happy to be single because he now has the freedom to spend more time with friends and pursue potential hobbies and activities. Overall, it was fun talking to Sergio; he is a funny, laid back guy who likes to crack jokes and laugh.
